I enjoy it when I come across accuracy. The whole "I <3 this, and I <3 that" annoys me. This "<3" is not what a heart looks like people. Meh, you'll have to excuse my ranting. Now for another rant. 2012. Yes, I am going to address this

On the winter solstice in 2012, the sun will be aligned with the center of the Milky Way for the first time in about 26,000 years. This special alignment means that the usual energy that typically streams to Earth from the center of the Milky Way will indeed be disrupted on 12/21/12 2012 at 11:11 p.m. Universal Time. Scientists are actually in great doubt about the fact that the Mayas even knew what they were talking about. So, no the Earth is not doing to be destroyed in a giant ball of flame. The Mayas calendar may have ended on 12/21/2012, but so what? It's not plausible to think they could have made a calendar that would last for eternity. They ran out of paper :P The ending of the calendar may not even be correct for 12/21/2012. We have been running on the Gregorian calendar for the last 2012 years, the mayans used the Long Counts calendar, and there is scientific debate over the validity of the end of the mayan calendar. So people get over yourselves with this end of the world stuff...
